Exmoor Dark Skies Festival
About Exmoor Dark Skies Festival
Exmoor Dark Skies Festival makes the most of one of the darkest and clearest night skies in the country. As Europe's first International Dark Sky Reserve, Exmoor offers a rare chance to see the Milky Way, planets and meteor showers with the naked eye, and the festival fills a fortnight with guided stargazing, astrophotography and after-dark adventures.
Events run across moorland villages and open spaces, from family-friendly planetarium sessions to late-night walks led by astronomers. Some are free and some ticketed, but all share a sense of wonder at the night sky above one of Devon's wildest landscapes.
