About British Firework Championships

The British Firework Championships is one of Plymouth's biggest annual spectacles, drawing huge crowds to the grassy slopes of the Hoe to watch the country's top pyrotechnic firms go head to head. Launched out across Plymouth Sound, the competing displays light up the water, Smeaton's Tower and the whole waterfront in a dazzling contest for the national title.

Beyond the fireworks themselves there is a full day-out atmosphere, with a funfair, live music and food and drink stalls spread along the Hoe. Entry is free and the displays can be seen from all around the waterfront, making it a hugely popular fixture for families and visitors from across the South West.
